The concept behind the new AquamistHFS6osa (open source architecture) design is somewhat unusual in many ways in the key-tapping digital age. It goes one step beyond the current “cell by cell” on-screen programming via a lap top. The only tool needed is a small screw driver. User can define the entire flow curve by manipulating four onboard trimmer potentiometers. Each trimmer is pre-programmed with a mathematical formula to simplify the flow mapping work.
The wiring task has also been revamped to reduce installation time. Three dedicated color coded, pre-terminated wiring harnesses are allocated for each area of the car, covering the engine bay,
ECU and water tank/pump in the trunk.
Continuing the same tradition of constant water pressure, fluid flow is controlled by a newly designed inline high speed valve. This valve is necessary to handle the new line pressure of 160psi, risen from the previous pressure of 125psi. Dash Gauge, Digital Flow Sensor and Water Tank Level sensor is supplied with the system as standard.
Power supply to the system has also been simplified, directly to battery instead of searching for a suitable switched 12V supply from the fuse box. The new system has its own internal fuse and power switching relay. This new system has all the function of the HFS-5 plus more - it is User Scaleable, Plug & Play, comes with factory preset options and a new 160 psi pump. The Flow Sensor and Aquamist’s new PWM Valve is now combined as one unit plus and a set of Pre-terminated harnesses for the “Plug and Play” electronic controller are just some of the new improvements.
