If you plan on running a pulley on your TRD/Magnuson Supercharger for the Single VVTi 1GR-FE 4.0L V6 engine that is smaller than the URD 2.825″ pulley, the snout of the supercharger will have to be cut down.
Part of the pulley will extend over the end of the supercharger snout slightly and due to the inner diameter of the URD 2.7″, and 2.55″ pulleys you will need to machine down the snout to provide the needed clearance for the smaller pulley.
To make this easier for you, URD is making this snout cutter available so you can remove the needed amount of material from the supercharger snout yourself while the supercharger is still mounted on the engine.
This cutter is available at a discount if you purchase it with the URD 2.7 or 2.55″ Stealth Supercharger pulley. Make your selection on the pulley page.
Use of the URD Snout Cutter is much easier than it looks. Simply assemble like in the product pictures and bolt to the supercharger input shaft and start rotating it clockwise with a wrench. As it cuts deeper you will have to add a little more spring pressure with the spring nut. Do not put to much pressure or it will be hard to turn. Cut the snout back 10mm and then vacuum up all the shavings. It is just that easy. Then install your new URD High Boost Pulley!
Note- May work on other superchargers that use the Eaton M-90 rotor pack.
