The URD AIC/T is an additional injector controller with timing retard control that is ideally suited for a 3.4L 5VZ-FE V6 that has been converted to forced induction. It is a highly reliable end user tunable unit and is the heart of the URD 7th Injector kit for the TRD Supercharger.
This unit is equipped with a true automatic multimode additional injector driver. It automatically senses the type of injector it is connected to and properly controls it. The injector can be a High Impedance, Low Impedance, or a Peak and Hold.
The injector is controlled using map B in the R4 tuning software and it is a true 3 dimensional map table based on Manifold Pressure, RPM, and the amount of injector on time in milliseconds.
The timing control board interfaces with both the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors and modifies these signals to be able to control the ignition curve. This is the way the ping is eliminated.
The timing retard is controlled using map A in the R4 tuning software and it is a true 3 dimensional map table based on Manifold Pressure, RPM, and the amount of injector on time in milliseconds.
This unit is intended for normally aspirated engines that have been converted to forced induction. They are equipped with a high precision MAP sensor to sense manifold pressures up to 16 PSI.
This unit comes with a fuel injector plugs that are compatible with Bosch EV1 injector connectors.
Note: Some of the earlier 5VZ-FE engines in the 95-96 Tacoma and T-100 were equipped with stock ECUs that do not work well with forced induction conversions.
Because this unit is end user tunable, it cannot be CARB approved and is marketed as an off road use only product.
